Narrative description of Project:
Reconstruction of the automobile road A-380 “Guzar-Bukhara-Nukus- Beyneu” on the section 150-228 km (78 km) with a cement concrete pavement. The project scope includes road rehabilitation, following mainly the existing alignment in both, urban and rural areas; introduction of cement concrete pavement; construction of 30 culverts, thirteen bridges, five interchanges, 16 over ground and underground crosswalks; and fixing of road inventory with enhanced road safety measurements. The road rehabilitation will also involve using climate resilient measures/standards, spelt out in the appropriate works specifications.
Description of actual services provided in the assignment:
The global objective of the Technical Audit is to provide the Factual Summary Report regarding the technical aspects of the Project, together with the results achieved during the implementation of the Project components, namely civil works Contracts and associated construction supervision Contract and to provide to the Client, their supervisors and to the AIIB the recommendations to remedy errors that could have occurred or which could lead to improvements in implementation of the Project. The TA will assess whether the implementation of the project is in conformity with the applicable regulations, conditions and specifications, in particular with regard to the technical aspects.
